The University of Bolton has always encouraged its staff to engage in research and it has a number of very strong research groups, some recently developed and some of long-standing. It aims to foster research which will either support teaching at every level or which will help to meet the needs of business, industry and the public sector.
Part of the process of developing and supporting research is to help in its dissemination and to monitor its progress through robust and accurate data. The University is delighted to see the implementation of the Institutional Repository scheme as a very effective way of helping to achieve both of these ends and it encourages its staff to make full use of the resource which the UBIR represents.
